Berlin, 2026-09-16 – The Berlin-based account information service wealthAPI delivers the data foundation and frontend for “PortfolioPlus”, the new portfolio tracker from BörsenNEWS.de. Its special feature: the connected custody accounts control which community posts an investor sees. Users connect their bank or broker once via login; after that, wealthAPI structures and extracts holdings, performance, and dividends, keeping them automatically up-to-date. wealthAPI is an account information service regulated by BaFin and enables connection to over 3,500 banks and brokers.
In addition, there is the news offering from BörsenNEWS.de. Instead of a general news stream, each investor sees posts related precisely to the assets they hold. The depth of data ensures this reconciliation works: wealthAPI provides structured holdings, broken down to individual securities. Only this allows a community post to be assigned to a specific portfolio position. wealthAPI links a user’s securities with the relevant posts via an ISIN assignment through BörsenNEWS.de’s community interface.

PortfolioPlus enters a market where assets are scattered. At the end of 2025, private households in Germany held 37.2 million securities custody accounts with approximately 14.1 million stock and fund investors. This averages more than two and a half custody accounts per investor, often with different providers. Only when these holdings are consolidated does a complete picture become possible.

In addition to the filtered community feed, PortfolioPlus shows the development of total assets across all custody accounts, as well as an analysis of how assets are distributed across asset classes, sectors, and regions. Setup takes less than two minutes, and usage is free. The bank login is entered encrypted directly at the bank; BörsenNEWS.de does not store any access data, and access is read-only. Additional premium features are available for Smartbroker+ customers if they import their Smartbroker+ portfolio. These include a dividend calendar, a performance view, and individual classifications.
