wealthAPI at FIBE 2026: Three Stage Appearances, Two Days, One Clear Signal
FIBE Berlin has established itself as a central industry event for fintech and financial services. From 15 to 16 April 2026, wealthAPI was present at CityCube Berlin – with a booth in the Startup Area and three sessions across different stages.
Three sessions, three perspectives
CGO Susanne Krehl opened on day one at the Impulse Stage with “Hyper-Personalization at Scale: The Synergy of Open Finance and AI”. The session addressed what data infrastructure is required for AI-driven personalisation in wealth management to move beyond pilots. High-quality data and a complete 360-degree view of a customer’s portfolio are the prerequisite – without this foundation, AI in wealth management cannot deliver meaningful results.
On day two, Ulrike Czekay moderated the Fintech Ladies Meetup session “Rewrite the Script: Navigating Your Career in the Age of AI” at the FIBE Tiergarten. The format brought together early-career professionals and experienced practitioners to discuss how career paths are shifting in an AI-shaped working environment. The discussion ran well over the scheduled time – a clear sign of demand for exactly this kind of exchange.
The second day closed with a panel on the Festival Stage: “Wealth Tech at a Turning Point: Consolidation, AI and the Race to Scale”. Susanne Krehl joined representatives from other wealth tech companies for a moderated discussion by Handelsblatt. The core argument: scaling in the current market requires a reliable data foundation – AI-driven product recommendations and personalisation are only as strong as the underlying data.
Conversations at the booth
At the Startup Area booth, the team held conversations with investors, partner companies, and industry observers. wealthAPI’s positioning as a BaFin-regulated Account Information Service focused on wealth data for B2B partners drew concrete interest – particularly regarding the upcoming FiDA regulation and its requirements around data access and interoperability.
What FIBE 2026 made clear
Across stages and side conversations, three themes surfaced consistently: the role of data quality as the foundation for AI applications in finance; trust as the deciding factor in AI adoption; and the structural challenge for traditional players in achieving an integrated customer view in the first place. These three points describe precisely the space in which wealthAPI operates as infrastructure.
wealthAPI thanks the FIBE team for organising the event and creating the conditions for these conversations.
